Why Drywall Installation Matters in Las Vegas
New Construction Drywall
New builds and major renovations need drywall hung from bare framing. We hang, tape, mud, and texture walls and ceilings on schedule. Board goes up straight, joints are tight, and the finish is ready for paint without skim shortcuts.
Room Addition Drywall
Bedroom, bathroom, and family room additions need full drywall installation after framing. We match your existing wall texture and finish level throughout so the new room looks like it was always part of the house.
Garage Conversion Drywall
Las Vegas garage conversions need moisture-resistant drywall, fire-rated board on shared walls, and proper insulation before the space is livable. We handle every board type your conversion requires and meet local code on shared-wall installations.
Interior Build-Outs
Home offices, studios, basement finishes, and framed-in storage rooms all need drywall done right before any other work begins. We hang, finish, and texture new interior walls from scratch and work to your timeline.

How We Handle Every Drywall Installation
Every installation starts with the right board. Las Vegas conditions require us to match board type to the space. Moisture-resistant board in bathrooms and kitchens. Fire-rated board on garage shared walls. Standard board for interior rooms. We hang to framing, not to speed, and we never skip drying time between mud coats.

Board Types We Install
A crack that runs parallel to the framing and is under an eighth of an inch wide is cosmetic in most cases. A crack that runs perpendicular to the framing, is wider than a quarter inch, shows vertical offset on either side, or has visible deflection in the ceiling plane should be evaluated by a structural engineer before any cosmetic repair. We do not close structural concerns with compound.
Our Drywall Installation Process
A correctly installed wall does not need to be touched again. The failure that causes redo work is rushing through mud coats before they dry, using the wrong board for the space, or skipping the primer before texture. We do none of those. Every installation leaves with the right board, properly taped joints, and a texture that holds.

Drywall Installation vs. DIY: What to Know
Every repair follows the same order. Skipping steps is how repairs reopen.
1) Measure and plan
We match the board type to the space, tape every joint clean, and texture to match whatever finish is already on your walls. No shortcuts on mud coats. No missed details before we pack up.
2) Select and cut board
We score and remove the failed tape and loose compound. We do not apply new material over old material that has separated.
3) Hang and fasten
The new tape needs to bond to clean drywall paper. Any residue or loose compound is cleared before taping.
4) Tape and mud
Fiber mesh tape bonds to the bare paper and holds the joint as the framing moves. Paper tape is used at butt joints where a stronger bond is needed.
5) Sand and prime
Two to three coats of joint compound with drying time between each. Las Vegas heat pulls surface moisture fast. A coat that feels dry on the outside can still be wet underneath. We do not rush between coats.
6) Texture and inspect
We finish with texture matched to your wall surface and sidelight the repair before we leave. If we see a mismatch, we correct it before we pack up.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 1/2″ and 5/8″ drywall?
Half-inch board is standard for interior walls and ceilings. Five-eighths inch board is thicker and heavier, used on ceilings to reduce sag over longer joist spans, and required by code in some fire-rated assemblies. We select the correct thickness for each location based on span, fire rating, and local code.
How do you match existing texture after drywall installation?
We sample the existing texture before we start. Whether it is orange peel, knockdown, or smooth, we match it in the field before we leave. We do not finish a room and leave a visible texture difference for you to deal with later.
Can I paint drywall immediately after installation?
No. New drywall needs to be primed before paint is applied. The mud joints absorb paint differently than the paper face of the board. Skipping primer leaves blotchy, uneven coverage. We finish each installation ready for primer and paint, and we will tell you when the surface is ready for your painter.
Do you haul away the old drywall after a removal?
Yes. When a job requires removing existing drywall before installation, we haul the debris. We do not leave old board stacked in your garage or driveway. The space is clean before we start hanging new board.
